Good Timing!

On Friday night, I drove to Dunfermline to perform for McMillan Foods at their staff party.

I was due to work the room from 6pm - 7pm and I always try to arrive a little bit early, to any gig. However, on this day, due to an unforeseen road closure, I found myself running late!

I arrived at the venue at 5.59pm, rushed in out of the torrential rain and then asked the venue staff if they knew what the car park number was. It was a Pay & Display car park, but the ticket machine was out of order, so I was just going to pay via the app. I found out the number and was about to pay the fee, when someone said ‘Oh, but it's free after 6pm.’

I was in luck. And that was some good timing!

After the party, I had to rush to Lanark to attend a family meal to celebrate my niece turning 18. I knew I would be late due to my gig, so I asked my wife to order my food (main course only), and for everyone to take their time with the starters 😂

I had more traffic delays on the way there, nothing major, but just enough to frustrate a driver, and I arrived at the restaurant at 8.14pm… I rushed in and washed my hands, sat at the table as I was saying hello, just as the waiter was putting my meal on the table. Mine was only the second meal served, so that was really good timing!

I was lucky with timings on Friday night… Now, did I remember to put my clocks forward yesterday?? 🤔😂
