Be Prepared

Some instances where being a magician has surprisingly come in handy…

• When the world shut down, I was already stocked up on hand sanitizer

• I've been able to step in and save the day, on more than one occasion, when the birthday candle needed to be lit

• I got to travel on the train for free, after showing the ticket collector some magic (I didn't ask)

• If a child gets a small injury (bumped their head, trapped their finger in a door, etc), I've been able to appease them by giving the sore body part a little tap with the magic wand

• There have been times in a pub, etc where a possibly volatile situation has been diffused with a few card tricks

• And, back in the day, when I was young and single, showing off my powers to ladies in bars and restaurants… 😉

So, I was never a boy-scout, but as a magician, I'm always prepared
