Last Minute Nerves

Tonight I will be appearing at Arta. A popular club restaurant in the centre of Glasgow. I'll be one of several acts featured in the new cabaret show. There will be dancers, singers, comedians and me… and I am nervous!

Why am I nervous? I've performed onstage before, plenty of times. I've performed for people of all ages, from all walks of life and of all degrees of sobriety. I know what I'm doing and I'm confident that the audience will enjoy my magic… but I'm trying something new.

I will be performing Ventriloquism for adults. This is a first. I do this at every kids show, in fact it’s what makes my kids shows what they are. But I've never tried it just for adults.

There'll be nothing blue, no unnecessary swearing or vulgarity, but the humour of this particular puppet character (Ned) is aimed at adults.
