More than you think

Very often, people hear the word ‘magic’ and think of children watching someone pulling rabbits out of hats, riding a unicycle and making balloon models. It’s fair enough, because for a lot of people, this is the only magic they have experienced. Although I do entertain lots of kids with up-to-date/not-too-cheesy magic, ventriloquism and now online magic shows, I try to let people know that there is more than one side to this art form.

Think of David Blaine, Derren Brown, Dynamo, and others (whose names may or may not start with D), and you’ll realise that magic can be more than just making kids laugh. It can be astonishing, intelligent and even emotional. If you get the chance, I would urge you to go online and check out some of the names I mentioned, as well as Tommy Wonder, Max Maven, David Regal, and David Copperfield. (More D’s)
