Don't Panic (buy)!

Remember how we looked back upon that time where people were hoarding toilet roll and pasta?

We shook our heads in disbelief at how grown adults behaved. Greed, selfishness and suspicion came to the surface. Social media was filled with images of the truly needy, being unable to provide the basics for their families because of panic buying. People were going to the supermarket and filling their car with loo roll, tinned foods and farfalle, leaving nothing for those who came behind.

Imagine ambulances not being able to get to your dad when he collapses, or the fire brigade unable to reach you when that charger sparks and ignites the bedsheets. (I know they mainly use diesel, but hopefully you see the point.)

This is what will happen if we run out of petrol. Please don't be like this person, just get what you need and carry on.

There's no shortage. We’ll all be fine, if we remember that we live in a society, and more importantly, if we remember that other people's lives are affected by what we do, for better or worse.
