World Puppetry Day

Today is World Puppetry Day!

I don't perform puppetry in the traditional sense. I have no strings to hold them down, to make them smile, to make them frown, I don't crouch down out of sight and control my characters with one hand in the air, and I do not go near Punch & Judy booths.

I perform Ventriloquism, which at it's heart is puppetry. Without my puppets, I honestly think my shows would be good… but not great. I would get chuckles… but not belly laughs.

I'm incredibly grateful to puppetry, and I celebrate it every single day!
