Keep It Simple… and cheap!

If you're planning to host a birthday party, or something similar, it doesn't mean you have to go overboard and spend lots of money.

You can keep costs low. Here are some ideas…

• Use your living room - There's no need to spend £££s to hire a hall. Chances are, you won't have fifty to a hundred people invited, so you don't need that much space. I perform regularly in people's living rooms, kitchens, or gardens.

• Don't serve too much food - I've been to countless events where I've been told ‘Help yourself to the buffet, we've ordered far too much!’ A lot of party food ends up in the bin. Just put out enough. Don't go overboard.

• Keep themes simple - Don't buy branded Marvel, or Disney, or Whatever, plates, cups, table cloths, etc. Just use colours instead. Is your little boy a big fan of The Hulk? Use green and purple decor. Halloween theme? Just use black and orange napkins and table cloths.

• Don't double spend on entertainment - If you hire a bouncy castle for three hours, and you have an entertainer coming along for two hours, chances are that at least one of those hours will see the inflatable sitting unused. I personally don't like to perform while the roar of the air pump fills the room, and I know I'm not alone. So, why not get the castle for an hour at the start, or the end of the party, and the entertainer to fill the gap. Or choose one or the other 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not here to tell you how to run your event, but I do hope some of these tips help 🙂👍🏻
