Edinburgh Fringe Festival… Day Eleven
That was a long day! First of all, I had gotten my dates mixed up and thought that my day off was Monday. It wasn't, it was Tuesday. And it was only by chance that I discovered that fact, late on Sunday night.
I had told everyone that I was off, so when I turned up I had to check tickets, let everyone in, figure out how to work lights and sound, and if course prepare and perform the show.
I was exhausted, and it was the wettest day we had had for a while, so I was damp the whole time.
The show itself went really well though and 25 people laughed their way through it.
Afterwards, I took a walk, got soaked again and tried my first Jollibee. Not bad.
I decided to take in a show, so I walked down to CCBlooms where I watched The Grumpy Magicians. It was a fun show, and free. Although, I did give them a donation on the way out.
Later, I walked up to The Pleasance to see Nina Conti. As a ventriloquist, I love seeing others doing it, and I'm so glad I got to see this show as it was entertaining from start to finish.
I did want to go and see Paul Zerdin (ventriloquist) and Elliott Bibby (magician), but by that point I was so tired that I had to just head back to Le Monde, collect my things and get home.
My phone told me I had walked almost 25,000 steps yesterday. Almost 11 miles. My feet feel like I've walked ten times that 😴
But today is (my first) day off! Now, if I can just convince my dog that he doesn't actually need a walk today…
